The Kanata-based interior residential painting company was founded by Maria Schnebeck, whose passion for interior painting allows her to greet her customers with both a smile and professionalism. Glücks Colour (which means lucky colour in German) delivers customers with a tremendous amount of knowledge stemming from a professional teaching environment in The company was formed in November 2007, and is better known to Maria's many loyal customers as Maria's Painting. Besides providing top quality interior residential painting services, Maria also offers wallpapering and different painting techniques to her clients. The inspiration behind starting up her business dates back 15 years in Germany, when she asked her friend's husband (who she calls one of the best professional painters she I ins over met) to show her how to do the painting and wallpapering of her two-bedroom apartment. The end result did not leave her satisfied, however."Iwas not pleased with the final result of my renovation,"she recalls"Neither was he."But neither of them gave up until they were able to say "this is an excellent paint job." Friends, neighbours, and family members quickly came to realize how efficient, particular, detailed, clean and professional her work was, and they started hiring her .Originally she was a "State Certified Educator", but she did the paint jobs on the side as a hobby. A hobby, she says, that was both fun and challenging.Before that, Maria worked for her sister at Stubbe Chocolates. She -was, and still is, her biggest supporter and Schnebeck is very grateful for that.While working at Stubbe Chocolates, she continued to paint and wallpaper on the side, again for friends and neighbours, until starting her own business.
